  4.   Welcome to the shareware version of FrontDoor APX/w, the premier
  5.   electronic mail client from Definite Solutions.

  8.   Installation instructions

  11.   Follow the instructions below to install FrontDoor APX/w 1.12.
  12.  
  13.   1) If you are using Windows 95:
  14.  
  15.         Click the 'Start' button in the task bar. Select Run from the
  16.         menu that is displayed.
  17.  
  18.         A dialog box is displayed. Type A:\SETUP in the field where it
  19.         asks for a command line. (If the files are not located on a
  20.         diskette in drive A:, replace A: with the drive and directory
  21.         where the files are located.)

  23.         Click the OK button.

  26.      If you are using Windows 3.1x:
  27.  
  28.         Open the Program Manager.
  29.  
  30.         Select the File menu, and then Run.

  32.         A dialog box is displayed. Type A:\SETUP in the field where it

  34.         diskette in drive A:, replace A: with the drive and directory
  35.         where the files are located.)

  40.   2) Follow the instructions in the installation program.

  43.   3) When the installation program ends, a new entry has been added to
  44.      your Start menu (Windows 95), or a new group has been added in
  45.      the Program Manager (Windows 3.x).

  47.      Select the FrontDoor APX icon in either the Start menu or
  48.      Program Manager group to start FrontDoor APX/w.

  51.   4) The first thing that happens when FrontDoor APX is started, is
  52.      that you have to configure a few settings. You should for
  53.      instance specify your name, and the network address of your
  54.      system.
  55.  
  56.      If you don't have a network address already, you need to
  57.      contact someone that is already a member of FidoNet (or similiar
  58.      network), and ask them if you can become a 'point' of them. If
  59.      they accept, you will get the network address from them.

  62.   5) Everything should now be configured, and you are ready to start
  63.      using the program.
